22 Campaign It! ACTIVITIES! 1 Identify some examples of reciprocity that you have experienced with any of the following: family members; work colleagues; sales staff. 2 Think of one commitment you have made. How has that made you behave (and think) in a consistent manner? 3 Consider the ways an organization or group that you know well creates its own social proof. This might be through the beliefs, values and associated behaviours that are favoured, or through the structures and systems that have been put in place, or even the ways other organizations or groups are referred to. What are the essential elements of the current social proof? How does it both help and hinder this body? 4 Think of two people you know who both exercise authority. What is the source of their authority? Compare and contrast the ways they demonstrate their authority. 5 The next time you are in a public meeting place, for example a bar, a restaurant, a hotel lobby, spend a few moments just watching people in conversation. Identify a couple who really like each other. What do you see or hear that tells you they are in rapport?
