Preparing Yourself

Okay, you’ve prepared your presentation. The slides are done, the handouts are printed, your notes are ready. Now it’s time to turn the eye of preparation on you. This is the second leg of the preparation triangle. How will you say what you’ve got to say—practically as well as emotively? How will you connect with your audience? What will you wear? What will you do to establish your credibility? Going into the home stretch, the focus of preparation shifts from the presentation to the presenter.
