Using Summary Tables with Oracle Applications

When you are working with Oracle Applications, if you recall from our discussions in previous chapters, we told you to manage the EUL using the SYSADMIN user. Because this user is not a database user, and does not have access to the underlying storage space, you can only use external summaries when working in Apps mode.

You therefore need to make sure that the summaries that will be used in Apps mode are not managed by Discoverer.
