Chapter 7. New Delivery Models: Cloud Computing

In this chapter, we describe the emerging delivery model of Cloud Computing in the context of the Enterprise Information Architecture (EIA) Reference Architecture. This chapter should help you understand the definition and application of Cloud Computing models within the context of Enterprise Information Services (EIS) Components across the enterprise.

The purpose of this chapter is to introduce definitions and terms related to Cloud Computing models and their different shapes and layers across the IT stack. We provide a holistic view of how the deployment model of EIS changes with Cloud Computing in place, and we also examine the impact of the new delivery models on operational service qualities.
