310 Data Modeling Made Simple with PowerDesigner Which PowerDesigner model types should I use? In Chapter 9, we discussed the three types of data models provided by PowerDesigner, the Conceptual Data Model, the Logical Data Model, and the Physical Data Model. Nobody can force you to use these models in the way Sybase intended, but there is an obvious synergy between our three levels of data models and the PowerDesigner models, shown below. To avoid confusion, we refer to the PowerDesigner models by their 3-letter model types, CDM, LDM, and PDM.
