Preface Currently, under the U.S. Security and Exchange Commission rules, all banks and brokerage firms are required to keep their e-mail for three years. By July 2006, under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, all public companies are required to comply with this rule. Whether the companies are public or private, more companies need to manage their e-mail to support regulatory compliance, litigation, and corporate policy and to improve performance and productivity. The e-mail archiving and records management solution presented in this book will help companies to accomplish these goals. This IBM® Redbook provides a general solution guide for the integrated e-mail archiving and records management solution. The integrated solution uses the following IBM products: IBM DB2® CommonStore for Lotus® Domino® V8.3 or IBM DB2 CommonStore for Exchange Server V8.3 IBM DB2 Records Manager V4.1.2
