Part III: Managing the Report Server

In Part III, you learn how to deploy reports to the report server and how to manage the reporting environment. In Chapter 10, “Deploying Reports to a Server,” you learn several ways to move reports from a report developer’s computer to the report server. You also learn how to organize content on the report server and configure properties that control data source access and report execution behavior. You explore security options in detail in Chapter 11, “Securing Report Server Content.” Then, in Chapter 12, “Performing Administrative Tasks,” you review the management tools included in Reporting Services, explore the server configuration files that you can change, and learn about the tools that you can use to monitor report server performance. The procedures in these chapters give you hands-on experience with all aspects of managing the reporting life cycle.
