I actually bought this book as a hardcopy based on very positive reviews here and on Amazon. I regret that very much! I am a professional, when someone promise me examples, I expect useful, commented Howtos and not homework assignments!
So I am sorry to have to be this harsh, but this book is worthless for the professional, intelligent and capable readers who earn their income by solving real problems for clients!
Steven Feuerstein's and the Oracle Publications' books are much-much better.

I am in a database application support position, supporting apps that use Oracle. I am reading this book rigth now and it is helping tremendously. It is easy to read, has very clear examples, and thoroughly explains all examples step by step. There are labs and "try it yourself" sections that force you to think on your own and therefore learn. I highly recommend this book!
