33.1. Overview of InfoPath 2003
InfoPath 2003 is a graphical authoring tool that is used to create XML-based forms. With InfoPath, it is easy to create many types of forms, yet it has more complex functions. InfoPath 2003 is available as part of Microsoft Office 2003 Professional Enterprise Edition or as a stand-alone product. It provides a way for users who are unfamiliar with XML to create XML-based forms using straightforward drag-and-drop techniques. One of the data sources that InfoPath can use is SQL Server.
NOTE
Everything in this chapter describes the features and behavior of InfoPath Service Pack 1. Service Pack 1 added many features that were not included in the initial product release of InfoPath 2003.
