Conclusion

Of all the processes I have developed, these are the ones that make me feel most like I’m back doing classic monoprints. By moving the ink from the film to another surface, you have the ability to manipulate and alter the image during the transfer—a more hands-on process than directly printing on inkjet paper.

Best of all, these processes bring the entire rich portfolio of fine art papers into the digital age. If you tried to print directly on them, the image would bleed and run. Being able to use traditional printmaking papers is almost like coming home again!
