INSERTION LOSS INSERTION LOSS The reduction in power that takes place at the load on insertion of a network between the source and the load. It is generally expressed as a ratio in decibels. INSPECTION Inspection is the process of measuring, examining, testing, or otherwise comparing a unit of product with the require- ments. INSPECTION BY ATTRIBUTES Inspection whereby either the unit or product is classified simply as defective or nondefective, or the number of defects in the unit of product is counted, with respect to a given requirement or set of requirements.
