Finding Xbox Originals

Xbox Originals are games that were originally released for the first Xbox system and are now emulated for play on the Xbox 360. Although it’s hard to think of games released only as far back as 2001 as vintage, this is still a great way to experience some Xbox history without the hassle of tracking down a boxed copy of a game and worrying about whether or not it’s compatible. (See “Understanding Backward Compatibility with the Original Xbox” later in this chapter.)

The best place to check out Xbox Originals is under Game Type on the Games blade under the Game Marketplace, where it is the fourth and final option. You can then further refine your search by using the Release Date, Top Downloads, User Rating, and Title sort options.
