Trying Out Demos

Demos are available for the majority of games listed in the Game Marketplace. In some cases, you might find that only the demo is available. This is often the case for more recent releases or games not yet released. For example, if you look in the Featured section of the Game Marketplace and select Game Showcase, you’ll likely encounter demos for quite a few games currently only available from outside retailers.

Although there is a Demos blade under the Game Marketplace, the only demos included there are for retail games. Game Demos for Xbox LIVE Arcade titles and Indie games are accessible from their respective sections.

Downloading a Demo

Regardless of how you browse for games, you can typically access a demo for the game you are interested in by clicking the title and selecting Get Trial from the game overview screen. Now look at an example.
