Watching Sports on ESPN

Like the Zune, Netflix, Hulu Plus, and YouTube examples described previously, ESPN on Xbox LIVE (one of the earliest available video apps on the Xbox 360) demonstrates the potential of other, similar services, several of which are described later in the section “Watching Other Video Services.” ESPN on Xbox LIVE delivers thousands of live and on-demand global events from ESPN3.com, including out-of-market programming and daily clips from ESPN.com, and clips from ESPN-specific programming such as Sportscenter. You can also view scheduled match-ups, get real-time score information from ESPN.com’s score feed, and then seamlessly jump into other games. Finally, you can predict the winners of games and watch the game with others in the Xbox LIVE community to see if your predictions come true.
