Managing Xbox LIVE Parties

When you host an Xbox LIVE party, you can invite up to seven people to communicate online while you are each engaged in separate activities or in the same activity. To partake in an Xbox LIVE party, you and your guests must have an Xbox LIVE Gold membership and either an Xbox 360 headset or a Kinect sensor; although, individuals who don’t have either of these options can still listen to the party over their speakers. As in real life, only one party can be attended at a time, and after the maximum attendance is reached, someone must leave the party before another person can join.

Inviting Friends to a Party

To start a party, follow these steps:

1. Press the Xbox Guide Button in the middle of your controller to pull up the Xbox Guide and then select Party from the main menu.
