Managing Beacons
“Beacons” enable you to let your friends on Xbox LIVE and social networks know which games you’re currently playing, those you’d like to play, or those you will be playing in the near future. Beacons appear as text bubbles that say “I want to play [Name of Game Here]” above your avatar. They indicate to your friends that it is OK to ask you to play the game in your beacon, even if you are currently occupied with another activity on your console. You can set up to three beacons.
Setting a Beacon
Follow these steps to set a Beacon:
1. Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller and scroll to Beacons & Activity.
2. Go to the My Beacons tab and select Set Beacon.
3. On the Beacons screen, choose the game you want to play from the list of your recent activities.
