2.7. Chapter 2 Summary and Highlights

• A point represents position and has no length, no width, and no height or thickness. A line has length only, with no width, and no height or thickness. A plane has length and width only, with no height or thickness.

One line postulate: One and only one straight line can be drawn between any two points. Two points one line postulate: Through any two points, there is one and only one line. Shortest distance postulate: The shortest distance between any two points is the straight line that is drawn between them.
