    This section provides step-by-step instructions for modifying the balloon for a placemark.

    Adding Text

    The <description> element in <Placemark> supports a subset of HTML markup as described in the KML 2.2 Reference (see Appendix A). If you are using HTML, it’s easiest if you include the HTML code inside CDATA brackets, as shown in the SimpleTextBalloon.kml example.
