Part 2: Production Guide > Creating New Projects - Pg. 89

Production Guide > Creating New Projects > Create a Project From a Template Creating New Projects Once you've got your Project Template ready to go (see page 60), and you've spent some time creating a script (see page 1), you're ready to get down to business and create your eLearning lesson. Note: Rehearse your eLearning script prior to recording. If errors or omissions are found, contact your project lead/script writer immediately. You should never record a lesson without a script, and you should never go "off script." After rehearsing the script, ensure you reset the screen prior to recording (put everything back to the way it was before you walked through the script). Create a Project From a Template 1. Using Adobe Captivate, choose File > New Project > Project From Template. 2. On the Create tab, select From Template. 3. Open your Project Template. Note: If you want to use the Project Template discussed throughout this section of the book (beginning on page 60), open CP5_ProjectTemplate.cptl. 4. An untitled project opens (the project has a CPTX extension) and looks identical to the Project Template. 5. Save and name the project as you would any Captivate project. 6. If you are using the supplied CP5_ProjectTemplate.cptl template, replace the Image Placeholder on the first slide with your corporate logo Double-click the placeholder Click the Import button Open the logo image 7. Once your logo is on the slide, you'll likely need to reset the image to its original size.
