Inspecting and Editing CSS Page Elements

Being able to work with CSS-based page elements is essential as you design a website. Dreamweaver gives you a comprehensive set of tools to help you inspect the attributes of any CSS layer in detail, and then to edit those attributes.

When you select an element such as text, a div layer, or an image, the Properties panel tells you about general CSS and HTML formatting, including the CSS Class and ID; the CSS Styles panel shows you detailed element-level information about the applied style, such as font size, margins, and positioning.

1. Turn off Live View, and in the Resolution Switcher, click the Tablet Size button. In the file pluralist.html, select any instance of the Alice Ritter uppercase text.
