Apple’s video calling solution—FaceTime—is a marquee feature of the iPhone. It allows for Jetsons-style video calls over Wi-Fi networks. When compared to professional video conferencing solutions, it’s much less expensive. Here’s how to place a FaceTime call.
You can place a FaceTime call to someone using a Mac, iPod touch, iPhone 4, or iPad 2. When calling a contact with an iPhone 4, tap his or her name in your Contacts list. Scroll down a bit and tap FaceTime. If that contact has several numbers, the one that’s available for FaceTime is presented alongside the FaceTime icon (which looks like a small video camera). Tap it to place the call.
