5. Emailing

In this chapter, you learn about your DROID’s email applications for Gmail and other email accounts such as POP3, IMAP, and even Microsoft Exchange. Topics include the following:

• Adding a Gmail account

• Adding a Microsoft Exchange account

• Sending and receiving email

• Working with attachments

Your DROID Incredible 2 has two email programs: the Gmail application, which only works with Gmail, and the Mail application that works with POP3, IMAP, and Microsoft Exchange accounts. Your DROID 3, Pro, and X2 have three email programs: the Gmail application, which only works with Gmail, the Email application, which only works with POP3 and IMAP, and the Messaging application that provides a universal Inbox for all email except Gmail. Your DROID CHARGE has a Gmail application for Gmail only and an Email application for everything but text messages.
