In the previous chapter, you set up your iPhone and became more familiar with the buttons and how to operate the device. You can probably hardly wait to take the first steps in using iOS. So, it’s about time to introduce the operating system of your iPhone.
The first thing you will probably see when you try to use your iPhone is the lock screen. This mode is comparable to the keys locked function of other cell phones, and your iPhone switches to lock screen mode when you haven’t used it for a while. This saves electricity and stops you from accidentally doing actions. The lock screen ensures that you do not start apps by accident or dial phone numbers without realizing. You can determine when the lock screen activates in Settings. See the corresponding chapter for more details.
