Add Video to the Event Library

You store the video clips you use in your movie projects in the iMovie Event Library. In many of the movies you create, you will probably use video you have captured with a camcorder. You can import video content from a camcorder into the iMovie Event Library where it is available for as many projects as you want to use it in.

If you want to add all of the video on a tape or other media to the Event Library, use the Automatic Import tool to capture that content easily. Once you have added content to your library, you can use that content to build movie projects.

Connect the camcorder to MacBook.

Launch iMovie by clicking its icon on the Dock.
