2.4. Online Account and E-mail Setup

The sections that follow are for BIS users who in all probability would be setting up their account on their own. If you are a BES user, your company will handle this setup process for you. For BIS users on the GSM network, your wireless supplier will provide you with an activated number (SIM card). Contact your service provider for further details on this process.

Once your number is activated, you can proceed towards creating your online account and setting up your e-mail. You can configure up to ten e-mail accounts with your BlackBerry handheld device. The account setup is necessary for your service provider to connect you and your handheld to the Internet and related data, as per the plan you have selected.
