Major iCloud Features
iCloud is bound to gain and lose features as time goes on, and as Apple’s hardware and software evolve. But as of March 2013, here are the major features in iCloud, all of which I discuss later:

iCloud Downloads: With iCloud, you can purchase music, apps, or books from Apple on any device (Mac, PC, or iOS device) and have them automatically pushed down to all your other devices. Apple refers to this as “iTunes in the Cloud” when it applies to music; I use the generic term “iCloud Downloads” for all the supported media collectively. iCloud also lets you re-download previously purchased music, TV shows, movies, apps, and books from any of your devices. An optional paid feature, iTunes Match, extends iTunes in the Cloud to work with music from sources other than the iTunes Store. See iCloud Downloads for details.
