Chapter 19. Finding Your Audience

Unless you edit your movies while keeping your eyes on the camcorder's screen or a TV attached to your camcorder, you've probably been doing your editing work in the Monitor window. But the Monitor window doesn't show you the real thing. It's only an approximation of the smooth, clear video image that your camcorder caught to begin with.

Fortunately, behind the scenes, every shred of crisp, clear, smooth-motioned video is intact on your hard drive. When you export the movie back to your DV camcorder, it appears in all its original, high-resolution glory.
