Strategizing can provide the organization with valuable infor- mation about its employees and their developmental needs. The more actively the organization supports this process, the more it enhances its utilization of existing workforce capabilities and its ability to plan future workforce needs. Strategizing clearly lays out a detailed plan of what individuals must do in order to move toward their career goals or to enrich their present position in the organization. At the Implementing Stage, individuals follow their developmental plan to acquire the tools, skills, and knowledge that in the Strategizing Stage they dis- covered were necessary.
