Getting started

Before beginning this lesson, you’ll delete the Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator preference files to restore the application’s default settings. Restoring the defaults also resets the Color Settings dialog box. For step-by-step instructions, see “Restoring default preferences” on page 4.

In addition, make sure that you have enough memory allocated to complete this lesson. Ideally, Windows computers should have at least 64 MB of RAM. Macintosh computers should have a Preferred Size setting for Photoshop and Illustrator of 40 MB or more. For more information, see“Copying the Advanced Classroom in a Book files” on page 3.
