Undos and context menus

Multiple undos

To undo the last operation, choose Edit > Undo (Cmd-Z/Ctrl-Z). To undo the second-to-last operation, choose Edit > Undo again. Repeat, if necessary, to undo multiple editing steps. To reverse an undo, choose Edit > Redo (Cmd-Shift-Z/Ctrl-Shift-Z). You can also Control-click/right-click the artboard and choose either command from the context menu. You can undo or redo after saving your document, but not after you close and reopen it.

Context menus

A context menu (short for “contextual menu”) lets you choose a command from an onscreen menu without having to mouse to the menu bar or even to a panel. We use them whenever we can, and list them in our instructions. To open a context menu, Control-click/right-click the artboard.
