THE END USERS

Development of an IT infrastructure designed to substantiate the promise of personalized medicine spans research laboratories and clinical settings. The IT initiative, which connects personnel across many settings, facilitates access, provides security and privacy safeguards, provides data storage, and supports transmission capabilities. The initiative affects multiple constituents of the organization, each of whom plays a role in the advancement and application of personalized medicine. Partners IS and HPCGG identified five main constituent end users and explored the requirements of each in performing their roles in the advancement of personalized medicine and its applications.
