Leader Profile

Let’s look at Mark’s I-centric profile through a number of lenses:

How he communicates: Mark comes across as intense yet very people-oriented. He is a driver and expects that he can demand what he wants and get what he wants. Those who deliver are in the inner circle; those who do not are failures to be shunned. He does not accept mediocrity, just results. As a result, people who are struggling feel they cannot turn to him for help.

How he motivates others: He hires successful people for their talent and expects them to produce as usual. He does not see that his role is to develop his staff. He demands a tremendous amount from people and does not have the time or inclination to train them. He likes to be seen as someone who has a cadre of the best under him; people should be honored just to be part of a winning team.
