Let’s look at Jack’s profile through a number of lenses:

How he communicates: Jack is assertive and an extrovert. He has a dominant personality and likes to indoctrinate others in his ways. He talks down to others and expects them to deliver the results that he prescribes.

How he motivates others: Jack uses fear of negative consequences to get the performance he wants. He tells people that if they don’t deliver they are out. He has been known to fire people publicly, making them a symbol of what not to do. People don’t see Jack as supportive or empathetic. They assume he won’t be there to provide advice.

How he listens or doesn’t: Jack has one thing in mind: making the numbers and getting results. He doesn’t want to hear any “no’s” or “can’ts” and thus he is impatient when people are having difficulty. People believe he won’t tolerate feedback.
