Employee Development

This segment of the performance appraisal process deals with employee skills. What skills does the employee possess? What skills are needed for the future? Does the employee have enough background on which to build, or should she consider other career paths?

If the employee is capable of developing the skills, where can she get the appropriate training? Even if she can develop the necessary skills, does she possess enough interest in the work to want to develop those skills?
