Long, Ph.D., SPHR, is the president of LK Consulting, LLC, a human resource management consulting firm specializing in start-up and small businesses. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Kent State University and has more than 15 years of experience in human resource management, career coun- seling, and business consulting. Lori is the former associate di- rector of the Career Management Center at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, a past presi- dent of the Cleveland Society for Human Resource Manage- ment, and is certified as a senior professional in human resources. Lori's research interests include effective work/life man- agement strategies, the policy implications of federal employment laws and regulations, and the use of technology in human re- source management. She has published several articles and pre- sented numerous seminars on these and other human resource management topics. In addition to her work with LK Consulting, Lori is an adjunct faculty member at Baldwin-Wallace College. She lives with her husband David and their two children in Cleveland, Ohio. 253
