Parkinson’s Disease

Parkinson’s is classified as a degenerative neurological disorder. In its most common forms, symptoms develop in a person in his 50s, but can develop as early as age 30. Parkinson’s is more common in men. Although there is no specific cause identified, several factors are associated with this disease, including the following:

• Head trauma

• Long-term antipsychotic medications

• Genetics

• Atherosclerosis
