All roads lead to Rome. You probably have a well-established framework and procedure to run your technology projects. Introducing IPv6 works like almost any other technology project. If you do a perfect job, your users and customers will not even notice that they are using a new transport protocol (most users don’t care anyway—they may not even know what a protocol is).

In a large network, IPv6 can only be integrated with a phased approach and a gradual transition (integration). In this section, I’ll outline common approaches that have been used by different organizations for IPv6 deployment and have proven to work well.
