    Description: Detects Ethernet interfaces in promiscuous mode.

    Security Relevance: There have been many debates about how to detect sniffers. NEPED is one possible approach. It works by sending custom ARP messages that can only be intercepted by interfaces in promiscuous mode. Learn more in Chapter 7, "Sniffers and Electronic Eavesdropping."
