Allowing Remote Access to Macs on the Network

You’ve now set up remote Mac users to connect to the network using their Macs, but you may also need to allow remote access to particular Macs on the network for special needs. For example, you may need to give yourself remote access to your über-Mac or your Mac server so that you can continue to run the roost or the network even when you’re encamped on the beach rather than in your command bunker. Or key knowledge workers may need to access their Macs so that they can tap into their projects when inspiration strikes when they’re at home.

There are three main ways of allowing remote access to particular Macs on the network.
