Configuring RSA SecureID

RSA SecureID provides two-factor authentication, which is one of the more secure means of authentication available today. In this two-factor authentication, the user provides a personal identification number (PIN) along with a single-use token generated from a time code algorithm. Because the token is a single-use token, it can be used only once; also, different tokens are generated at fixed intervals. Therefore, for authentication, a correct token along with a PIN need to be provided. A correct combination of both provides a higher degree of certainty that the user being authenticated is a valid user.
