These services include paging, digital cellular, personal communications services (PCS), low earth-orbiting satellites, mobile data communications, specialized mobile radio and third-generation technologies for high-speed Internet access. Some of these technologies, such as paging, have been available for more than ten years. Others, such as low earth orbiting-satellites, are new or still in development.
