Yves Louis has been in the computing and networking industries for more than 25 years. He has been with Cisco for more than 9 years and was one of the key members in the central European team working on next-generation IP network infrastructure.

As a consulting engineer, Yves supports large enterprise projects for strategic customers and recently has been working on the new generation of switching technologies, developing IP network support for routing and switching, network services for application optimization and security, and network virtualization for data centers.

He was one of the first to understand issues customers were facing in the area of data center virtualization and has provided guidance and ideas about bringing this book’s architectural solutions to the global data center infrastructure.

Yves holds a degree in computer engineering from the Control Data Institute. He has written several white papers on network solution architectures and recently wrote a blueprint to provide recommendations enabling broadcasters to deploy their enterprise network architecture to support the Media Workflow Platform (MWP).
