Lesson 6. Creating Mail > Composing a Message

Composing a Message

You can send a message to anyone for whom you have an address, whether his or her address is in your address book, your list of contacts, or scribbled on a Post-It note. In addition to sending a message to one or more recipients, you can send copies of a message to other people you have an email address for or those whom are listed on your various address lists.

Tip

Compose Your Messages Offline If you connect to an Internet service provider and don't want to waste precious connect time while you compose email messages, you can create new messages in Outlook without being connected to the Internet. New messages that you send will be placed in your Outbox until you connect to the Internet and actually send them to their final destination.
