As with all great software applications, Visio continues to mature and address the features and functions that developers and users most often request. However, with each version of Visio, you need to be aware of a few limitations as a developer. Knowing these limitations can prevent problems from occurring. I'll address some of the ShapeSheet cell limitations under Visio 5.0 and earlier first. Next, I will look alternately at the new Visio 2000 ShapeSheet cells and see what has been improved as well as what limitations still exist.
