Throughout this book we’ve been discussing the wonderful things you can do with PDF documents; however, most of the important official documents we receive—contracts, estimates, invoices, and the like—are printed on paper. Even Adobe, well into the PDF era, insisted that its developer applications be printed, signed, and faxed back; PDF files weren’t accepted. Furthermore, most companies have tons of paper stored in warehouses, documenting many years of transactions and business.
