Make It Snappy

The Measurement tool uses different methods of aligning itself to content on the page, which helps with accurate measurement. Choose from four Snap Types, located on the Measurement toolbar. With an active measurement tool, when you click the document, the pointer automatically moves to the nearest location specified by the active Snap Type.

Here are your choices:

• Snap to Paths moves your pointer location to the closest drawn path or line.

• Snap to Endpoints moves the pointer location to the end of the closest drawn line.

• Snap to Midpoints moves the pointer location to the center of the closest drawn line.

• Snap to Intersections moves the pointer location to the nearest intersection of two drawn lines.

If you don’t want to use any snap options, right-click (Control-click) with the measurement tool to open the shortcut menu, and choose Don’t Snap to Page Content.
