11.3. Making a Budget Current

After you create your first budget, you can create as many other budgets as you want. But you can work with only one budget at a time—the current budget. Any changes you make to budgeted values on the Income, Expenses, or Savings tabs apply to this budget. Quicken also uses the current budget when you choose the "Copy current" option to create a new budget, as you learned on Section 11.1.2. Perhaps most importantly, the program uses the current budget when you generate reports that compare your budget to actual spending, so it's essential that you summon the budget you really want to work on.
