Chapter 21. OneNote Essentials > Finding Information in a Notebook

Finding Information in a Notebook

As explained in Chapter 3, “Organizing and Finding Your Files,” you can find just about anything within an Office document by using Windows Desktop Search. In OneNote, additional search tools are neatly integrated into the program itself, making it possible for you to quickly find pages containing a particular word or phrase.

The starting point for all OneNote searches is the Search box, which appears just to the right of the section tabs. Enter a word or phrase in this box, and then click the arrow to the right of the magnifying glass icon. Figure 21.13 shows the choices available on this menu.
