Once again, I must extend an enormous "thank you" to everyone at MTP and New Riders Publishing for all of their incredible work. To the dynamic duo of Karen Wachs and Leah Williams, who time and time again exhibited superhuman patience: You both provided a wonderful mix of humor and professionalism that made this book a definite pleasure to work on. Of course, I still hear the words "work faster" every once in a while, but I'm sure that will eventually subside. To Robin Drake, Jake McFarland, and Gayle Johnson, who had to put up with my insatiable desire to continually add new material: Your attention to detail was invaluable. And finally, my thanks for the excellent work of technical editors John Blackman, Mark Edwards, and Sanjiv Raja, who provided outstanding insight, suggestions, and corrections.

I also want to acknowledge the assistance of Rick Dehlinger, who went out of his way to provide information and assistance regarding his experiences with MetaFrame. Thanks also to the hardware and software vendors who provided me with demos and assistance: Paul Machado from Hummingbird Communications; Tanice Lincoln from NetManage; Alan Frydman and Ruta Wells from NCD; Jeff McNaught, Roger Fortier, and Julie Rose from Wyse Technology; and a big thanks (as always) to Sandra Burns from NetIQ. I must also thank Richard Foote and Shawn Genoway, whose efforts in the first "Thin Client Solutions" helped pave the way for this book.

And to my friends and colleagues who wondered why their name wasn't in the first book and whether it would be in this one, here you go: Petra Bowman, Glen Byam, Gayle Gordon, Mark Gowanny, Linda Hechtl, Mike Manning, Peter McKenzie-Sanders, Bojan Mihajlovski, Mykel Millar, Marius Mocanu, Gord Mummary, J.P. Muscat, Nikolay Nedkov, Patricia Neilson, Dave Petruk (and his cottage of rejuvenation), Rodney Rock, Dawn Skinner, Rob Stewart, Martin Viellette, Steve Walker, Chris Walter, and Beata Ziecina.

And of course, thanks to my family, who once again had to deal with my rejection of any social interaction whatsoever. At least I won't be inside all summer.

Happy reading!
