Manageability Tools

The second enabler of the new IT organizational model leverages the technology changes and user segmentation. Manageability has morphed from a high-level marketing concept into a deliverable. Manageability has taken on the lifecycle elements and has developed the software that can perform remote access and proactively address the lifecycle elements. At the same time, access device manufacturers are embedding features that take advantage of the manageability software.

It is highly likely that the new IT model will not only be more automated through remote tools, but the skill sets that reside in IT may need to be aligned with the new toolsets.
